Jay D. Burchfield, Senior Principal and Co-founder of Greystone.
Mr. Burchfield served as the Lead Independent Director of O'Reilly Automotive, Inc., a publicly held company with over 5,900 stores and more than 84,000 team members throughout the United States & Mexico. In this role, serving as Lead Director and Member of the Audit and Compensation Committees.
Additionally, Mr. Burchfield served as a Director of Simmons First National Corporation, a publicly held company that is ranked within the Top 1000 World Banks with over 200 locations & 2,800 associates throughout the United States. In this role, serving as Chairman & Member of the Compensation, Audit, Risk, Wealth, and Executive Committees.
Mr. Burchfield is also the Senior Principal of SilverTree Companies-Realty, a Mid-West Real Estate Company.
As a U.S. Army Veteran with a career spanning over 50-years in the banking, finance, and real estate industries - his unmatched expertise provides Greystone with the benefits of strategic business development, fiscal management, and leadership development.

Wilson is an experienced financial professional with over 15 years in the investment management industry, currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Engineer, and Risk Manager at Greystone. A dynamic results-driven leader, Wilson has a track record of developing innovative investment strategies, optimizing portfolio performance, and mitigating risks to ensure consistent growth and profitability for Clients & Investment Partners.
Raised in a ‘real estate & banking’ family, Wilson attended multiple Universities graduating from the University of Missouri where he developed a passion for Modern Monetary Mechanics & Financial Engineering. This strong educational foundation laid the groundwork for Wilson’s expertise in quantitative finance and risk management.
Before founding the Greystone Family of Companies, Wilson held leadership roles at PNC Investment Bank, Central Bank of Boone County, and SilverTree Companies, where he honed skills in asset allocation, risk analysis, and portfolio construction. These experiences provided Wilson with a deep understanding of the intricacies of financial markets and the factors that influence investment decisions.
As the Chief Investment Officer at Greystone, Wilson oversees the company’s investment process, setting strategic objectives and guiding the team in making informed data-driven decisions to drive optimal returns. As a Portfolio Engineer, Wilson utilizes cutting-edge technologies and advanced data analysis techniques to develop investment models tailored to our Co-Investment Partners’ specific goals & world class resource allocation. As the appointed Risk Manager, Wilson constantly evaluates and adjusts risk exposure, ensuring that the portfolios are exceptionally well-positioned to withstand market fluctuations and deliver high quality return streams.
Wilson’s commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to Greystone's fiduciary responsibility to Co-Investment Partners have garnered numerous industry accolades. These accomplishments have played a key role in positioning Greystone as a top-tier private equity investment firm. In his free time, Wilson loves being with his family, collaborating with aspiring & tenured finance & investment professionals, staying updated on emerging financial technologies, tracking macro & micro economic trends, and developing innovative investment products that shape the industry.

Mr. Burchfield began his career at Commerce Bancshares and later served as Vice President of JES Holdings for nine years. In 2002, he founded the SilverTree Family of Companies.
Throughout his career, Jay has managed all aspects of finance, real estate, and tax credit syndication, including negotiations, development, acquisitions, asset management, leasing, partnership administration, broker-lender relations, compliance, and more.
Mr. Burchfield is actively involved in the communities he serves, holding board positions with Central Bank of Boone County, Fr. Tolton Catholic High School, and the Lee's Summit Economic Development Council.
As a former member of the REDI Board, City of Columbia TIF Commission, and the Missouri Governor's Incentive Review Committee, Jay brings a broad range of earned expertise to Greystone, crucial for achieving the generational wealth goals of Greystone's Investment Partners.
